William Goossens joins 247TailorSteel as the company's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

William Goossens has been appointed as the new CFO of 247TailorSteel, effective from 1 June 2022. We are convinced that William, with all his knowledge and experience, will make a substantial contribution to the international growth of our organisation in the coming years.

William Goossens has over 25 years of international experience in various industries. In recent years, he held the position of CFO with Van Mourik Group, ATAG Verwarming, Koninklijke Verpakkingsindustrie Stempher and Amefa. In this role at 247TailorSteel, Mr Goossens will be responsible for the organisation's finances. The appointment of Mr Goossens is an important step in realising 247TailorSteel's international growth ambitions as a leading ‘smart’ manufacturer of custom laser-cut metal sheets, tubes and bent steel components.

Leading pioneer with strong growth ambitions
247TailorSteel has been a leading pioneer in the market since its establishment in 2007 and now serves a large and loyal customer base. The company operates more than 50 lasers and more than 30 bending machines on a total location area of 115,000 m². 247TailorSteel has set its sights on strong European growth. The company already has factories in Varsseveld (NL), Hilden (North Rhine-Westphalia) and Oyten (North Germany). The third German facility is currently being built in Langenau, between Stuttgart and Munich. Construction of the first factory in Belgium will start later this year, and the planning processes for a second Dutch production facility and a facility in Austria are ongoing. A total of ten production location will be in operation by 2025. In addition to its own factories, the company plans to invest heavily in IT. The continued development of its online portal Sophia® will play a central role in this investment programme.

Challenges for the future
247TailorSteel achieved turnover of €157 million in 2021 and grew by almost 50 percent compared to 2020. “Our goal is to sustain this rate of sales growth in the coming years, so we are delighted that William accepted this position. The knowledge and experience that William brings to the table are extremely valuable to us.
