Cookies can be used, for example, to control the insertion of advertisements or to facilitate navigation on a website.

Our website uses cookies, which are differentiated according to the duration of their use as follows:

Session cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. They store a session ID, which can be used to assign various requests from your browser to the shared session. This means that your computer can be recognized if you return to our site or when you click through multiple pages.

You can delete these cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser. Persistent cookies help our website to remember your information and settings if you return to the website in the future.

7. Integration of Third-Party Services and Content

It may happen that contents of third parties, such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated within our online offer. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") perceive the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, third party providers would not be able to send the content to the user's browser. The IP address is therefore absolutely necessary for this content to be presented. We strive to use only the content that is offered by those who use the IP address for the sole purpose of the distribution of content. However, we have no influence on whether the third party providers store the IP address for statistical purposes, for example. Insofar as this is known to us, we will inform you of it.

8. Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses “cookies", text files which are stored on the user's computer and which enable an analysis of the use of the website by the user. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

For this website we use Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()". This means that IP addresses are further processed in a shortened form, which means that direct personal references can be ruled out. The IP anonymization is performed by Google in Member States of the European Union or in other Contracting States as per the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being shortened. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

On our behalf, Google uses this information to evaluate the use of our website by users, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and Internet usage to the website operator.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to access the full functionality of this website.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

The use of Google Analytics is in accordance with the conditions which the German Data Protection Authorities agreed with Google. Third Party Information: Google Dublin, Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: +353 (1) 436 1001. Terms of Use: https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html, Overview of Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

9. Use of Social Plugins

Our website uses social plugins ("plugins") from the social networks Facebook, Xing, and LinkedIn. When a user calls up one of these websites and that contains such a plugin, the browser then establishes a direct connection with the plugin providers’ servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by these providers directly to the user’s browser of the user and thus integrated into the website. Data is automatically transferred to the respective plugin provider and stored there (in the USA for US providers). We have no influence on the type and extent of the data that these providers collect with the help of this plugin, as well as the purposes of data collection and storage periods.

When you access our website, the plugin provider receives the information that you have accessed on the corresponding subpage of our online service. In addition, the following data may be transmitted to the plugin provider: IP address; date and time of the request; time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT); content of the request (specific page); access status/HTTP status code, amount of data transferred; website from which the request originates; browser; operating system and its interface; language and version of the browser software. In the case of Facebook, according to the provider, only an anonymous IP is collected in Germany. This data collection takes place regardless of whether you have a user account with the respective plugin provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in to the plugin provider, this data will be directly assigned to your user account there. If you click on the corresponding button and e. g. link the page, the plugin provider also stores this information in your user account and informs your contacts there publicly if necessary. If you do not wish to be connected to your profile by the plugin provider, you must log out before activating the button.

The plugin provider saves the collected data as user profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such evaluation is carried out in particular (and including for users who are not logged in) in order to display demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You may object to the creation of such user profiles, but you must contact the respective plugin provider to exercise this right of objection.

Users can find out about the respective data protection guidelines and the possibilities of influencing the use and storage of user data by the respective providers on their respective websites.

The providers of the plugins and their Privacy Policies can be accessed as follows:

Upon written request, we will inform you about the personal data stored about you, its origin, recipients or categories of recipients to whom this data is forwarded and the purpose of storage.
